This week’s comic is brought to you almost entirely by the fact that the internet recently tried to convince me that Grover the Muppet died of toxic shock syndrome* on air, as a way to teach children about the importance of personal hygiene.

Thankfully, from what I can tell, the real (real?) Grover is alive (alive?) and well.

*No, I’ve never heard of anyone getting toxic shock syndrome from anything other than leaving in a tampon** for too long.

**Sorry/not sorry to those people who cannot grapple with the reality of tampons just because they don’t use them; you know who you are.
