Sorry for a string of very short posts, but this morning Dave and I (and Paul) are driving to a cabin in northern Wisconsin to see dear friends. So time is brief, the snow is high, and I will have more to say next week. In the meantime:

This has been a difficult year, beautiful but also painful. That said, I’ve accomplished a great deal, and I hope that next year I will do at least as much – or more – of the work I love, as I find a slightly more settled existence. (Or, probably not that last bit, but it’s a nice dream.) Plus, maybe go bicycling in Italy.
